The chapeuzinho pods come from the Amazon and act as natural hiding places inside the aquarium. The exterior of the pods is rough, which makes pods very suitable for covering with mosses and epiphite plants.

The chapeuzinho pods release good substances (tannins and humic acids) in the aquarium water. The effects of these substances are comparable to those of the catappa leaves. For example, these substances ensure that the pH falls naturally. Furthermore, these substances have an antibacterial and anti-stress effect. The Chapeuzinho pods give water a brown color and are therefore also suitable for creating a biotope of black waters.

Shrimps and other small animals love hiding in the chapeuzinho pods. Since the chapeuzinho pod is a natural product, its shape and size may differ.
