Cryptocoryne Balansae Pink is a charming variety of the most famous Cryptocoryne Balansae, appreciated for its long, wavy and thin leaves, with shades that tend to brunish rose in optimal conditions. Ideal for being positioned in the rear area of the aquarium, as it can easily exceed 40 cm high, developing a very scenographic "tent" effect.
Originally from Southeast Asia, it is perfect for Asian biotopes or for naturalistic aquariums with fish such as gourami, rasbore or betta. After the planting can show an initial period of adaptation in which some leaves dipherate, but once set stabilizes quickly, developing new sturdy and colorful leaves.
He needs a medium-high light to better express his pink shades. It does not require co₂ mandatory, but the addition favors the intense growth and coloring of the leaves. In poor light conditions it tends to take a darker green color, while under intense light and with targeted fertilization it shows its typical color "pink bronze".
It is a plant with a very developed radical apparatus, useful for oxygenating the bottom and prevent anoxic areas. It easily reproduces for underground stolones, giving rise to new testures that contribute to forming a thick and luxuriant vegetation.
Complete liquid fertilization is recommended, and in particular the contribution of microelements and iron, which favor the development of pink shades. It is a robust plant, also suitable for those who have little experience with slow-growing species, as long as it is respected its need for light and rich substrate.
