    The Atya Gabonensis is a freshwater shellfish from West Africa and is a fantastic guest to have in the aquarium. Its peculiarity is not to have chele and therefore does not prey any kind of fish or crustacean, but sift the water looking for food with fans.

    It adapts to very different physical chemical values between them, but the optimal conditions are:

    KH 4-10

    GH 6-20

    PH 6.5-8

    TEMP 20-26 DEGREES

    Maximum size 15 cm

    It is a very sociable animal that loves to live in a group by making himself so often to see more frequently. He loves to find a place where the current brings him food among the fans, but alternatively the sift from the bottom.
