    Oranda Comet black It is an ornamental variant of the Carassius Auratus Characterized by one Intense black livery, robust body and the presence of the typical Carnosa outcrescence on the head (Wen). It combines the elegance of black color velvety at the morphology of red fish Fancy, resulting a very decorative and peaceful specimen, ideal for well-sized freshwater aquariums and correctly set up.

    Oranda Comet black it belongs to the Cyprinidae family and is an ornamental selection obtained through intersections and targeted selections of Fancy red fish. It stands out for the uniform black coloring, very appreciated for the strong visual contrast that creates in the aquarium, especially on clear or sandy funds.

    The body is squat, rounded and compact, with harmonious dorsal profile. The head has the characteristic wen, a fleshy excrete that develops progressively with age and represent one of the main distinctive elements of the Oranda variety. The fins are large, soft and well developed, with an elegant double tail that gives a slow and graceful swimming.

    The black livery can be slight variations over time, especially in function of light, feeding and water quality, but in optimal conditions it maintains a deep and velvety appearance.

    Ideal habitat in the aquarium

    The black comet oranda requires a stable, spacious and well filtered environment, designed taking into account its adult dimensions and typical organic production of red fish.
