Nepenthes macfarlanei Carnivorous Plant
Natural Habitat: endemic to the Malay Peninsula.
Color and Size: The mature plant produces beautiful pitchers with red spots. The lower pitchers are egg-shaped or funnel-shaped at the bottom and spherical or cylindrical above, reaching up to 25 cm in height.
Light: The plant prefers full sun or equivalent grow light, being illuminated for 16 hours a day.
Substrate: A substrate mix dedicated to carnivorous plants is recommended.
Feeding: The plant prefers bed bugs, dried earthworms, and fish food.
Humidity: The optimal humidity for this plant is 80% to 90%. The plant thrives in a humid environment and should be watered with osmotic or rainwater. The pitchers can be filled halfway with osmotic or rainwater.
Temperature: The plant grows best at temperatures of 21 to 24°C.
