Appearance: Perennial plant with fleshy, glandular leaves arranged in a rosette.
Size: Small to medium, typically between 5 and 10 cm in diameter.
Growing Conditions:
Light: Bright indirect light. Direct sunlight can be tolerated but should be avoided during the hottest hours.
Temperature: Prefers moderate temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.
Humidity: Appreciates high humidity, around 50-70%.
Substrate: A airy and well-draining mixture, typically consisting of peat moss and perlite or coarse sand.
Watering: Prefers watering through capillary action. Keep the substrate moist but not waterlogged.
Overwintering: Reduces its activity in winter, requiring less water and light.
Special Notes: Sensitive to excess minerals in water, it is advisable to use rainwater or distilled water.
- Watering: loves limestone water, so tap water is fine. In summer it is enough a cm of water in the underwater while in winter it is reduced to make it return in the compact winter rosette. You return to water in April with the arrival of spring.
- Relative humidity: it is recommended to maintain moisture between 50% and 70%.
- Temperature: avoid exposure to temperatures below 5 degrees; prefers moderate temperatures, between 15°C and 25°C.
