Fish Red

The Classic red fish (Carassius Auratus) is an ornamental species of freshwater originating from China, bred for centuries. Presents a slender or slightly rounded body, with well-developed dorsal and caudal fins. The livery is generally red, orange or white with variable nuances. Young people have a more pallious color that intensifies with growth.

Ideal habitat in aquarium or pond

• Minimum volume: 50-100L per individual in the aquarium; In the Laghetti at least 200L by subject

• Filtration: essential, preferably external to keep clean and oxygenated water

• Bottom: rounded gravel or fine sand to avoid damage to the fins and the mouth

Reproduction

Easy to stimulate in spring / summer, slightly increasing temperature and offering abundant food. The eggs are laid on plants or substrates, so a separate reproduction tank is recommended to protect the fry.

Longevity

With adequate care, classic red fish can live up to 10-15 years in the aquarium or pond.

Furthermore, it is not possible to predict the compatibility between the water of our breeding and that of your aquarium, since we do not know the specific chemical-physical parameters of each domestic tank. For this reason, we recommend a gradual acclimatization of at least an hour, introducing small amounts of water of the aquarium in the shipping bag every 5-10 minutes. During this process, it is recommended immerse the bag in the aquarium to allow a correct stabilization of the temperature before the final release.
