Built in one or more layers, SUBSTRAT is a highly porous filter material based on sintered quartz. The surface structure offers important useful bacteria excellent colonization conditions. SUBSTRAT is suitable for fresh water and sea, it is washable and can be used several times.
Tip: Never clean or replace the entire biological filter material at once. Bacterial cultures should not be completely destroyed.
