SCIENTIFIC NAME: carassius auratus

VARIETY: calibre ranchu

MORFOLOGIC FEATURES: shape of the almost ovoidal body, devoid of dorsal fin, for the oriental is rightly the true head of lion, the back near the attachment of the caudal fin, descends to form an angle of almost 45°. A sample of good selection has no hints of dorsal fin and has clearly highlighted “the corner” formed between the back and the tail!! On the muzzle of this fish is clearly evident (around 10 cm long) the typical excrescence of the lion head, the more evident it is more valuable.

AQUA VALUES: temperature between 18° and 23°C (recommended temperature for reproduction); GH 16/18. PH 7.5/8, conductivity ms 700/900

ALIMENTATION: we recommend a power supply as much as possible

HABITAT: bath with suitable filter system, seabed and lighting.

CONSIGLIATE PIANTE: in aquarium spatiphyllum wallisii, cryptocoryne, anubias in general, microsorum (java felt).
