No free ammonia is introduced because the ammonium contained in Flourish NitrogenTM is complex and not available until plants use it. Flourish NitrogenTM provides nitrates to plants that are able to use it promptly. To achieve better results, use together with Flourish Phosphorustm and Flourish PotassiumTM.
Flourish NitrogenTM is entirely free from phosphorus, making it possible to restore nitrogen levels without affecting phosphorus levels.
Instructions for Use
PRINCIPLES: Use 0.5-1 ml (dispenser attached) for every 80 lt., twice a week.
EXPERTS: The dose indicated for beginners determines an increase in nitrogen equal to what would be obtained with 0.45-0.90 mg/lt. nitrate. The above dose is sufficient for an approximate growth of 4 gr. (dry) or about 20 gr. (hydrated) per month (subject to the supply of all the other necessary nutrients). For increased growth, use proportionally higher dosages. To obtain a specific nitrogen increase, use the following formula that determines the dosage: 0.25 va = m, where v = volume of the tank in gallons*, a = increase of the desired nitrogen level (for a precise nitrogen increase use in the formula a coefficient of 0.05 instead of 0.25 ) and m = volume of the product to be used expressed in ml. For example, to raise the nitrogen level of 20 gallons* by 0.20 mg/lt. you should use: 0.25*20*0,20=1 ml. (For containers of 2 and 4 litres, 1 mixture is equivalent to 10 ml.) Since half of the nitrogen contained in Flourish NitrogenTM does not result from nitrate, nitrogen levels can be accurately calculated by doubling the value recorded for nitrate.
