This plant is native to India and is quite similar to a medium-sized large leafy Cryptocoryne. It can be used in aquarium like Cryptocoryne, but it needs sufficient light to develop colors.
The leaves are 4-8 cm wide and 6-12 cm long, so the whole plant becomes relatively large.
Colors range from dusty green to bright purple to red-violet, often on the same leaf. The new leaves are pale pink.
