Vallisneria spiralis 'Tiger' from Asia is an excellent plant for beginners, which grows practically in all conditions of light and water.
The name 'Tigre' is due to its striated leaves (30-50 cm long, 1-2 cm wide). The relatively short leaves make it suitable for small aquariums, and the leaves are also narrow, which means that they do not obscure smaller plants. It easily forms the runners and is therefore easy to propagate.
