Y-Log trunk - Tana Ceramic Nature

The Y-Log logs are handmade in our studio in the Netherlands. All ceramic trunks are made of brown clay, which is safe for humans, animals and the environment.
Y-Log logs are available in 2 different sizes and have a beautiful structure and color of the tree trunk. The trunk structure is replicated by Ceramic Nature From trees in nature. Because we carry out everything by hand, each trunk is unique. The interior is smooth and the outside of the trunks has a tree trunk structure with multiple protuberances and holes.

Use in aquarium

The y-log logs are the ideal decoration and the hiding place for any aquarium. With their realistic appearance of the tree trunk, they merge well with the real wood or our wallpapers.
The y-log logs are commonly used for catfish, prawns, shrimp, cobite and other species of fish.
Also, you can also cover the y-log logs with various types of plants and mosses like Java moss or Anubias. Use glue for aquariums or fishing wire to attach the plant to the trunks for the first weeks. After that, the plant will grow attacked at the ornament.
The trunks will also serve as a biological filter in the aquarium since the ceramic structure is porous. Numerous bacteria nest in microcavities and through organic decomposition remove harmful substances from the water of the aquarium.

Terrarium use

The trunks are widely used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians like frogs, geckos, bearded dragons, snakes, etc.
Because they are made of ceramic, you can also use them perfectly as a wet cave or hot cave. The ceramic is porous and then holds heat or moisture well.
