The Bucephalandra look a lot like Anubias and must be treated in the same way. They usually grow more or less epiphytes in water or near it.
The Bucephalandra sp. 'Red' gives the best of itself to lower light levels and is very easy to cultivate. The leaves are very dark green or coriaceous red. On the submerged leaves are numerous small white spots and sometimes a slight metallic blue color. The size of the leaves is 2-4 cm wide, 4-6 cm long and usually have wavy edges.
Don't cover the creepy rhizome when you plant. This way the plant rots and dies.
