Hybrid of: Complex cross between several species of Pinguicula, often involving Mexican species like Pinguicula agnata, Pinguicula moranensis, and others.

Type: Perennial carnivorous plant

Appearance: Forms a compact and star-shaped rosette of fleshy, glandular leaves.

Size: Small to medium, usually between 6 and 10 cm in diameter.

Cultivation Conditions:

Light: Bright indirect light, tolerates some hours of direct sunlight.

Temperature: Prefers moderate temperatures, between 15°C and 25°C.

Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high ambient humidity, around 50% to 70%.

Substrate: Well-draining mixture, composed of peat, perlite, and sand.

Watering: Capillary watering recommended, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged.

Overwintering: Reduces activity in winter, requiring less water and light.

Special Notes: Sensitive to mineral-rich water, use rainwater, distilled, or osmosis water.

  • Watering: loves limestone water, so tap water is fine. In summer it is enough a cm of water in the underwater while in winter it is reduced to make it return in the compact winter rosette. You return to water in April with the arrival of spring.
  • Relative humidity: it is recommended to maintain moisture between 50% and 70%.
  • Temperature: avoid exposure to temperatures below 5 degrees; prefers moderate temperatures, between 15°C and 25°C.
