Active carbons release phosphates inside the aquarium creating big problems.
The right answer to this is Renew. This product is less aggressive than coal, making it better for aquariums with plants and reefs.
It removes organic residues, does not alter the pH and does not free phosphates and at the same time helps to control ammonia, nitrates and phosphates.
