Atya Gabonensis is a freshwater crustacean from West Africa and is a fantastic host to have in the aquarium. Its peculiarity is that it does not have chele and therefore does not prey on any type of fish or crustacean, but sifts the water in search of food with fans.
It adapts to very different physical chemical values, but the optimal conditions are:

It's a very sociable animal that loves to live in a group so that we can see more frequently. He likes to find a place where the current brings him food between his fans, but alternatively he sifts him from the bottom. Its color can vary from the light brown the first months of life to the darkest livery as an adult. The color of the bottom changes the coloring of the crustacean and we recommend the use of dark funds.
