Anubias barteri var. glabra, native to West Africa, is a beautiful plant with long and narrow leaves.
It reaches a height of 10-20 cm, with a rhizome from which the leaves develop, which grows up to 10-15 cm or more. It is very easy to grow, as it thrives in almost all conditions, although a high light intensity should be avoided. It is better to place it in shaded areas under larger plants. If planted on the bottom, do not cover the rhizome, as it tends to rot. It's not eaten by herbivorous fish.
Anubias barteri var. glabra was sold as Anubias afzelii, but the latter is actually a much larger species.
